Tasmanian Oak
Probably the most popular of all types of block parquetry, because of its beautiful honey tones. Tasmanian Oak is also the least expensive. Generations have enjoyed the practicality of Tasmanian Oak, which because of its colours tends not to show the effects of young families. The colour of Tasmanian Oak block varies from pale yellow through to almost chocolate brown due to it being a random mixture of up to six different types of eucalypts.

Messmate
For those who like the toning of Tasmanian Oak, but would rather not have the very wide variations in colour, Messmate is the ideal option. It is the hardest of the species mixed into Tasmanian Oak and has a medium tan to brown colouring. By selecting Messmate you restrict the colour variation to the natural variation of one species.

Jarrah
With its rich red toning, Jarrah has long been considered the King of Australian timbers. Colours vary from light reds through to dark claret. Jarrah while still a dark timber is not as dark today as it was years ago. This is due to the use of younger plantation timbers that tend toward a medium red colouring.

Tasmanian Myrtle
No other timber shares the soft warm characteristic tones of Tasmanian Myrtle. Colour ranges from the softest pink to dramatic orange streaks, with the most beautiful grain and fiddleback imaginable. A sensational complement to darker coloured furniture, or for those situations requiring a warmer toning. Grown in the temperate forests of Northern Tasmania, Myrtle is an ideal timber for installations in Victorian homes.

Tasmanian Blackwood
Long the choice of discerning furniture manufacturers, Blackwood with its deep brown toning makes an ideal floor to set off all home furnishings. Use it to add balance to a room that requires a strong statement, class and character.
